Abundance is a Quality, not a Quantity, who you are

Abundance is a Quality, Not a Quantity: It’s Not Something You Get, it’s Something You Are

By Dr. Scott Zarcinas | Author, Doctor, Spiritual Coach

Most people chase abundance as if it were a measurable thing — a sum of money, a certain income level, a number of clients, a tangible possession.

But these are all quantities. They exist in the realm of duality: here and not here, enough or not enough, more or less, gain or loss.

But true abundance — spiritual abundance — is not a number.

Abundance is not a measurable thing. It is a quality.

And when you have that perspective, it changes everything.

Quality Belongs to Spirit

Spirit, or God, expresses not in quantity, but in essence.

Qualities like peace, joy, love, life, truth, abundance are not things you can measure or own. They are not external objects. They are intrinsic, eternal, non-dual.

A quality is not divided. You don’t have more peace or less truth. You are either in peace or not aware of it yet.

It’s whole. It’s indivisible. It’s not subject to lack, because lack has no access to what is absolute.

As a quality of Being, Abundance the felt expression of fullness, sufficiency, radiance, and generosity, the unending outpouring of Divine Life.

Quantity Belongs to Form

Quantity is the realm of form, and therefore of comparison. It’s useful in the world, but not the source of your being.

Quantity says:

  • “Do I have enough?”

  • “What am I missing?”

  • “How can I get more?”

But this measurement comes after perception, and perception is shaped by your focus, which in turn is shaped by your perspective.

So chasing quantity from a perceived sense of lack only reinforces the absence of the very thing you’re trying to attract.

The Paradox: Quality Precedes Quantity

When you rest in the quality of abundance, without striving for more, you begin to radiate that quality.

And then, as if by natural resonance, the external world begins to reflect this internal state.

Not because you manipulated reality. Not because you manifested a thing. But because the quality you live from determines the shape your world takes.

This is not a trade to ‘get’ more of what you want:

“I’ll feel abundant so that I can get money.”

It’s a truth of your being:

“I rest in the wholeness of Abundance and now Life reflects what I already am.”

This Is the Great Reversal

Instead of living from lack trying to’ get’, you live from truth expressing out.

Instead of using Spirit to chase form, or using God as a genie to fulfill your wishes, you let outside ‘form’ echo the unshakable stillness of Spirit within you.

Abundance is not the result of external success or ‘doing’. Abundance flows from being, an awareness embeded in Truth and lived daily, regardless of material outcome.

Because it is not a number, it is a principle of God.

Abundance & The Living Path of Awakening

Use the Living Path of Awakening to Recognise, Rest, and Reflect the presence of Abundance so that you can experience your own abundant qualities daily.

This is not cultivating abundance like a goal to achieve. You’re attuning to a quality that’s already here, already within you, already who you are.

Here’s a practical, grounded breakdown of how to approach this:

  1. Recognise: Awareness of What Is Already True.
  2. Rest: Abide in the Quality, Not the Outcome.
  3. Reflect: Live the Reality You Know.

Let’s discuss this further.

#1. Recognise: Awareness of What Is Already True

Abundance is not something you attract. It is something you remember. Not ‘remembering’ in the sense of recalling a past event, but a ‘recognition’ of your true state of being.

To recognise your true state of abundance, do this:

  1. Perspective: Shift your attention inward and ask, “Where am I looking from?” rather than “What am I looking at?”
  2. Presence: Acknowledge abundance as a quality, not a quantity. It’s not out there. It is a living presence that lives as you.
  3. Practice:
    • Close your eyes and say: “Abundance is here. I am willing to recognise it.”
    • Then pause. Wait. Feel. Don’t try to make anything happen or have an expectation of what you should experience.
    • What arises, even subtly? A breath? A warmth? A looseness? That’s the beginning of recognition.
Recognition is not about a repetitive affirmation. It’s about a genuine recognition of your inner reality, the quality of life that never left you, only went unnoticed.

#2. Rest: Abide in the Quality, Not the Outcome

Rest doesn’t mean doing nothing. It means stop striving. Stop trying to fix what isn’t broken.

To rest and abide in the quality of Abundance:

  1. Let Go: Release the thought that you need to feel abundant in a big, emotional way.

  2. Be Open: Become available to what already is. Abundance is like the silence that’s always there when you stop the noise.

  3. Practice:

    • Sit in stillness for 2 minutes.

    • Let this phrase echo inside you: “There is no lack in God. There is no lack in me.”

    • Watch what resists. Watch what gives. Don’t analyse, just be with it.

Rest is the return to being, where abundance isn’t earned or something to get, it’s already there. It’s inherent.

#3. Reflect: Live the Reality You Know

To reflect abundance doesn’t mean “show the world you’re rich.” It means to let your actions, words, and choices come from wholeness, not need.

To reflect from the truth of your abundance:

  1. Ask: “How would I walk, speak, give, or receive if I knew I lacked nothing?”

  2. Act: Align your thoughts, words, and behaviours from the perspective of enoughness. Not because you’re pretending or faking it to make it, but because you’re practicing alignment with what’s true.

  3. Practice:

    • Give something freely — time, presence, kindness — not to get, but to flow from the core of your being.

    • Say to yourself: “I reflect abundance by trusting it flows through me, not to me.”

Reflection is the externalisation of inner truth. It’s not a performance or a pretense, but an active and conscious participation in Divine Reality.
