Living in Spiritual Mastery: The 3 Principles to Awaken Truth Within
By Dr. Scott Zarcinas | Author, Doctor, Spiritual Coach
The constant distractions and noise we face every day can cause us to lose connection with the essence of who we truly are.
Yet beneath the surface of thought, emotion, and physical form lies a deeper reality, one that is unchanging, whole, and Divine. This is the truth of your being.
To access this Truth, to live from it and express it fully, is the path of spiritual mastery. This path isn’t reserved for mystics or sages; it is open to all who are willing to turn inward and awaken.
There are three fundamental principles that guide this journey: Awareness, Alignment, and Action.
Let’s explore how these three spiritual foundations can help you remember who you are, reconnect with your Divine Essence, and live a life of peace, purpose, and fulfillment.

#1. Awareness: “My life is One with All Life – I live because Life is living.”
The first step in spiritual mastery is becoming aware—aware of your thoughts, your patterns, your beliefs, and most importantly, your true self.
This awareness is not just mental recognition; it is a deep inner seeing that reveals the eternal presence of Life within you.
Through the practice of meditation, you begin to observe the contents of your mind without judgment. The clutter of fear, doubt, worries, anxiety, and insecurity that once defined your identity begins to fall away.
In this stillness, you discover a deep Truth:
You are not your thoughts—you are the consciousness that observes them.
This is the awakening to the Truth that your life is not separate from the One Life.
You are not a fragment; you are whole. You live because Life itself is living through you, as you, in you.
This realisation dissolves the illusion of separation and opens you to the experience of Oneness—with nature, with others, and with the Divine Source.
Awareness is the ground upon which everything else rests. Without it, we live unconsciously, driven by fear and ego.
With it, we begin to remember who we really are.
#2. Alignment: “My desire is that all may have life and have it abundantly.”
Once you become aware of your divine nature, the next principle is alignment—bringing your thoughts, emotions, and desires into harmony with Spiritual Truth.
This is where imagination and contemplation play a powerful role.
You use your imagination not for fantasy or wishful thinking, but to feed your inner world with affirmations of Truth. You visualise yourself as already whole, already free, already One with the Infinite Source.
You affirm the divine qualities of your real Self—love, peace, power, wisdom—and allow these to shape your self-image and inner dialogue.
Through contemplation, you reflect deeply on the nature of Reality itself. You dwell on the truth of perfection, purity, wholeness, and the eternal nature of Spirit.
You contemplate the Presence of God in all things—beyond duality, beyond lack, beyond fear.
You begin to see the world not as broken or flawed, but as an expression of the Divine unfolding perfectly in every moment.
In this state of alignment, you no longer live by default—you live by design.
Your inner world becomes a clear reflection of your spiritual identity, and that clarity begins to shape your outer world.
Your desires shift from personal gain to the abundance of all.
You naturally begin to want for others what you want for yourself: peace, joy, healing, prosperity, freedom—Abundance.
This is the essence of alignment: living in integrity with the Truth of who you are and desiring that same Truth for all.
